Babu Gogineni

Rajaji Ramanadha Babu Gogineni (Babu Gogineni) is active internationally in public life as a Humanist, Rationalist and Human Rights activist. He is a frequent contributor to Television discussions and debates. He is also a language professional and is the founder of Skillguru, a soft-skills training organization which is a private business.

He is one of the signatories to the Humanist Manifesto. Humanism and Its Aspirations – Humanist Manifesto III – a successor to the Humanist Manifesto of 1933, was published in 2003.He served in many positions working as a Director, Founder and executive member of many Humanist Organizations. He always says that “Atheism is my conclusion whereas, Humanism is my Identity”.

He is a skilled commenter and motivator working relentlessly on major social, religious atrocities which condemn human rights and Humanism. His campaigns are against the established privilege and violation of Human rights in the name of religion. His social activism career has many achievements which brought international attention to the subject he campaigned.

Babu was Joint Secretary of the Indian Humanist Association, Trustee of the Indian Renaissance Institute, General Secretary of the Rationalist Association of India, and founder of the South Asian Humanist Association and Science for Society. While in Europe he joined the Board of the Historical Court of Poppi, Italy; was appointed International Advisor to the Oslo Coalition on Freedom of Religion or Belief, Norway; and became Adviser to the Global Alliance Against Untouchability, Nepal. In India, Babu has been Honorary President of the Body Organ Donors Association and Chairperson of the Committee Against Witchcraft and Related Violence.
